چکیده
alleles was at least 6% in all populations tested. This frequency is sufficiently high to screen at-risk patients routinely for these mutations. In summary, we have developed a quick and reliable assay to determine the genotype of patients with respect to two common polymorphisms in the TLR4 receptor. The assay described in this paper allows the differentiation between patients who carry mutations at both loci and those who carry only one of the mutations. This discrimination may be important because there is an indication that the two mutations are of different severity and may confer a different amount of risk to the carrier. The simple PCR-based approach allows this genotyping assay to be performed in any laboratory with no need for expensive, specialized equipment. The assay uses standard molecular biology tools and common laboratory equipment and can therefore be performed in most clinical laboratories. REFERENCES

Use of Microsatellite Polymorphisms in Ovar-DRB1 Gene for Identifying Genetic Resistance in Fat-Tailed Ghezel Sheep to Gastrointestinal Nematodes
This study was designed to identify genetically resistant animals to gastrointestinal nematode (GIN) infections using microsatellite polymorphisms of Ovar-DRB1 gene in Iranian Ghezel sheep breed lambs. In the present study 120 male Ghezel lambs were at 4 to 6 months of age randomly selected from six different sheep flocks in East Azerbaijan province (n=20 per flock). These lambs were naturally ...
متن کاملGenetic Population Structure of Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricta) Using Microsatellite Analysis
Information on the genetic structure of marine species is essential for stock improvement programs. In orderto analyses the genetic diversity of the Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricte) by the microsatellite geneticmethod, 64 samples were caught from the beaches located in Kish and Qeshm islands. Polymerase chainreactions (PCR) of genomic DNA extracted from the samples wer...

A population of offspring from a cross between ‘Golden Smoothee’ × ‘Shafi Abadi’ apple which was developed by two methods of controlled pollination (with and without covering after controlled pollination) was used to investigate the inheritance of microsatellite alleles and the necessity of covering in controlled pollination of apple. DNA was extracted from 60 seedlings (30 from each method) as...

متن کاملCross-species amplification of Clupeidae microsatellite DNA markers in common kilka, Clupeonella cultriventris from the Caspian Sea
Common kilka Clupeonella cultriventris (Nordmann, 1840) is a brackish water and small pelagic fish species and is one of the most abundant fishes that live gregariously in the Caspian Sea. A total of 60 specimens of adult common kilka were sampled from two seasons. Fifteen pairs of microsatellites previously developed for A.sapidissima, C. pallasi, C.harengus, and S. pilchardus were tested for ...
